Inno Dashboard Studio

Write SPL. Get a real dashboard.

Splunk gives you two options for a good-looking dashboard: hand-write Simple XML, or learn Dashboard Studio's JSON. Inno Dashboard Studio gives you a third — paste a search, pick a chart type, and it is done. Save it, drag tiles into a layout, add a filter bar, and publish the result as a normal Splunk view in whichever app you like. No JavaScript, no XML, no JSON.

Nine chart types · crosshairs synchronised across every tile · filter bars that inject tokens into each tile's search · chart-to-chart deep links · publish to any app as a native view · embed anywhere by iframe · dark theme throughout · Download link and licence key emailed on purchase · Actively developed — new features ship continuously

📧 How you receive it

The moment your payment completes, we email the address you used at checkout with both:

  • The application download link — the installable Splunk app package (.spl), with step-by-step install instructions
  • Your licence key — already node-locked to the Splunk deployment you entered at checkout, ready to paste into the app's License screen

No support ticket, no manual step. The email is sent the instant the payment clears and normally reaches you within a few minutes, from [email protected].

What it does

One search in, one chart out

A tile is exactly one SPL search rendered as a chart. Nothing is merged in the browser and nothing is recomputed behind your back — so the magnifier on every tile opens the same search that drew it, in Splunk's own search view.

Crosshairs across every tile

Hover one time-series chart and every other chart on the board pins the same instant and shows its value there — even when the tiles use different searches and different bucket sizes. This is the thing that makes a dashboard usable during an incident.

Filter bars that actually filter

A filter bar runs one search to populate its dropdowns, then injects the selection into every tile's SPL as a token and re-runs them. The tiles stay honest single searches; they just get a narrower one.

Publish into any app

A finished board can be published as a normal Splunk view in whichever app you choose, with the definition embedded in the view itself. It shows up in that app's dashboard list, gets a real URL, and follows that app's permissions.

Click through to the detail

Give a chart deep links and clicking a bar, a slice or a table row opens whatever you pointed it at — another view, a trace, an external system — with the click context and the current filter values substituted into the URL.

Built for dark rooms

Consistent dark theme, threshold colouring that reads at a glance, and tiles that fill their space instead of floating in it. It looks like the rest of your operations screens, not like a default chart library.

What's included

One licence, every feature. There is no edition ladder and nothing held back for an upsell.

Getting the board where it is needed

🚀 Actively developed — and updates are included

Filter bars, chart deep links, box tiles, publish-to-view and the in-board chart editor were all added after the first release. Every feature we release during your licence term is included at no extra cost — no upgrade fee, no new edition, no feature that arrives locked.

Need a chart type or an integration that isn't here? Tell us — a lot of what shipped this year started as a customer asking.

Already buying Inno Observability? Dashboard Studio is included in it — you do not need this licence as well. Buy this one if the studio is all you want. See Inno Observability →

Licensing

Offline — no phone-home

Keys are RSA-signed and verified locally by the app. Nothing contacts a licence server, so air-gapped and network-restricted deployments work exactly like connected ones.

Locked to your Splunk deployment

A key is issued against your Deployment ID — your Splunk deployment's own identifier. It unlocks that deployment and no other.

DR and standby covered

A key can carry a second Deployment ID for your DR site. If you don't know it at checkout, leave it blank and email us later. Adding it is free and does not shorten your term.

No metering

No per-user, per-dashboard or per-search fees. Build one board or four hundred for the same licence.

You need your Deployment ID to check out. Keys are node-locked at issue time, so we cannot create yours without it. Run this in your Splunk search bar — on the license manager if you have a distributed deployment, otherwise on the instance where you will install the app:

| rest /services/server/info | eval deployment_id=coalesce(manager_guid, master_guid, guid) | table deployment_id

It returns a single value that looks like ED2C6866-42DE-4179-8198-5FC1DE050707. That is what we need.

Pricing

One flat price per Splunk deployment.

No per-user, per-dashboard or per-search fees, and no edition ladder — and every feature released during your term is included.

After checkout your download link and licence key are emailed to you automatically, normally within a few minutes — from [email protected]. Please check your spam / junk folder if you don't see it.

FAQ

How do I get the app and my licence key after paying?

Both are emailed to you automatically, within a few minutes of your payment completing. If it isn't in your inbox, check your spam/junk folder — it comes from [email protected].

Do I need this if I have Inno Observability?

No. Dashboard Studio is included in Inno Observability. Buy this licence only if the studio is what you want on its own.

Can I evaluate it before buying?

Ask us for an evaluation licence and tell us a little about your environment.

What data does it need?

Whatever your searches read. The app does not require a particular index, sourcetype or data model — you write the SPL, so it works against your data as it already is.

Where do published dashboards live?

In the app you publish them to, as ordinary Splunk views. The definition is embedded in the view, so a published board keeps working even if this app is not installed in that context. Edit it here and re-publish to update it.

Which Splunk versions are supported?

Splunk Enterprise 9.x with Python 3. Licence enforcement runs server-side as a Splunk custom search command, so it behaves correctly for non-admin roles as well.

Where do I find my Deployment ID?

Run the search shown in the Licensing section above. On a distributed deployment, run it on your license manager. If you are unsure, send us the output and we will tell you which one to use.

What happens when the licence expires?

The application stops providing its functionality until the licence is renewed. It does not delete anything — your saved charts and boards stay in Splunk exactly where they are — and it does not interfere with your environment in any other way.

Is anything sent to you?

No. The app runs inside your own Splunk deployment. There is no phone-home, no usage reporting, and no proxy. Licence verification is fully offline.
